Joe M. McCall, FAIA

Principal

Joe McCall has a strong background in both design and project management with seventeen AIA award winning buildings to his credit. He leads the design effort and is actively involved in all aspects of the projects. He has been a principal of the firm since 1989. His 29 years of experience includes office, medical, retail, corporate, religious, institutional and residential projects.

 

He received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A & M University in 1970, a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974, and is a registered Architect and Interior Designer in the State of Texas. In 1999, Joe was elected to the national College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects for his advancement of the profession in design.

 

Joe is president of the Dallas Architectural Foundation. He regularly serves as a guest juror for design award programs, and student juries. At recent TSA State Conventions, he has been a guest speaker on design issues, and has served as a Visiting Instructor for the graduate design studio at UT Arlington School of Architecture. He has served on the Dallas Arboretum A&C Committee and is currently consulting on the design and construction of their Visitor's Education Center. Joe's Islamic Mosque project won a 1999 Texas Society of Architects Design Award, as well as the national 2000 Faith & Form Millennium Design Award and ASLA Award of Excellence.

 

Joe recently served on the Trinity River Corridor Advisory Panel for Dallas/AIA as well as a panelist for the Imagining Dallas symposium. Several of Joe's articles have been published in the past year.
